Is it true it took them 4-5 years to make the first one and I heard a few months before GoW 1 was released they were starting a new one and it's taking them 3-4 years since they have the character polygons and stuff

Like above said, they have a large team and are given stages to make so once you have finished your stage for the game you will probably move onto making GoW2.

As start already. They started both game 1 and 2 at the same time. Now GoW 1 is already out, GoW 2 is on the middle stages of being prepered.

They're probably working on the 3rd one aswell

GoW 2 is coming out in December, or early next year.

Not december, probably next year or the year after. I'd say maximum 2 Gears on the 360 and I'm looking forward to the 2nd one.
