You could probably get a used one from Game/Gamestation for that price with no premium and maybe just 1 controller. And no games?

Cores are around £200 with 2 games. Premium £270.

And most games require you to have a hard drive to play online anyway.

Don't get the core, it's really a pointless option. The premium is much better value for money and you get get a Premium + 2 games for £280 now. Plus a hard drive is a requirement for Xbox Live.

If you could save up a bit more I'd say it's even worth waiting for the Elite to come out/
