    www.ax-hosting.com allows you to register a .net site.

    .net, .co.uk, .com etc are all called domains,
    to get a website on the net you well ideally need web hosting and a domain.

    for a domain such as .net I suggest you visit www.godaddy.com, its a great place for domain names.
