Well, I'm guessing theres a girl you like.

If you see her regulary and shes in the same year as you same age etc, then just go for it. If shes in any of your classes and needs to borrow a pen offer her one, at lunch time "accidently" bump into her (Don't try croping a feel) and get talking. If she doesn't know you introduce yourself, tell a few jokes (Don't try these cheesey chat uplines please) if things are going well then ask for her number.

Always make your intentions clear with a girl, one you are having a conversation with her compliment her on her looks if she compliments you on yours then you most probably have a chance with this girl.

Basically... Jump in there don't waste anytime. You never know how long you could have with them.

If it makes you feel any better, most boys are like this, around your age.

Well, just talk about stupid things to them it'll make them laugh as long as it's not too stupid.

You do just have to hold your breath and jump in at the deep end.

I have the same problem as you (but only if I like the girl), and I'm the same age, 17 in two months.

why do you get shy? is there anything wrong with you? maybe you think your ugly or you say stupid things? this is common. just say hi when you talk to her & stuff, and as Cwmbran said act normally and dont use cheesy chatup lines and everything should go well. once you get to know her more ask for her number and msn address so you can talk to her when your not at school, hopefully you will get to know her more and be in with a chance! good luck !

Just an add on to what technolust said if you like a girl and become friendly with her make sure she knows what your intensions are, (I think I said that in my first post) but if you go out with mates, invite her out and ask her if she wants to bring some of her mates out so she doesn't feel lonely.

And if she says something along the lines of "Oh i don't know im not sure about it." tell her "Oh well I wont bother then as I really wanted to speak to you."

She may invite you round her house, or call her something like that.
