i thought the idea of a barcode was to recognise a product but that would surley mean that each item has a different barcode but 2 of the same item have the same barcode? :S

He gets the barcode from a pack he doesn't buy, enters it.

The buyer of the barcode enters it.

no thats not what i meant lol. What i meant is a barcode on a product is what makes the scanner recognise it so surley all clean and clear packages would have the same barcode?
