nah, the only proper way is to use a HDTV. Its a bug that was never fixed.

As of now it isn't in development, but it is being considered. Shame really.

You can fix it, on the dashboard go to System>Console Settings>Display>Screen Format and change it to widescreen, it stratches the game more and you can read the writing easier.

I have the same problem. It's clear on a HDTV but not on a 'Normal' Tv. Lucky enough for me i got bored of the game after 25 minutes and dont like it so its not too much of a problem but yeh not being able to read the writing is annoying.
