how you get AP to well fly?

I can get the speed to stay at a certain knot [: though when ever i pick my plane and then route and click "yes to start at location" i take off, and then well i fly where ever i want i cant seem to work AP to fly me the right way, lol! :eusa_whis

You need to have a heading input.Then after that you need to turn on your heading hold, then ap.

what i usually do is that i set the throttle and the altitude when im on the ground, then when im cleared to take off i engage the speed throttle, so i dont overspeed when ive taken off, and then when its all stable i turn the altitude on, and then when atc give me a heading i put that in and engage it
