The wow EU general forum seems to be up in arms about the new expansion "World Of Warcraft: The Wrath Of The Lich King" from what ive seen, 70-80% of people are all for the expansion but against the level cap increase to 80 (which im also against)

Many people feel let down due to them working so hard for epics in tbc by raiding kara or pvping and to all that be wiped just to be replaced by lvl 71 greens, yes they did the same when tbc was launched but players were ready for a change after being level 60 for 2 years.

Blizzard announced that they would aim to release an expansion once every year, which most players didnt mind however wotlk ( wrath of the lich king ) came as abit of a shock because tbc ( the burning crusade) has only being around for approximately 7 months.

Do you think blizzard has brought this expansion forward to combat with the heavily anticipated Warhammer Online in order to prevent most of its community moving to WAR, are you all for the expansion? do you think wow will end up like runescape? ( level cap raised to 90, then 100 as im sure there is 4-6 more expansions planned ) or are you greatful for an new expansion?

What ever your views are, please post them!

i am agaisnt the lvl cap increase but the expansion is not going to be released this year it probably will be in january or february so players have plenty of time to finish up content

It's only been announced, I highly doubt they have a release date yet, I mean we knew about BC for a long time before it was released, and it's up to them about the level cap, it's not like you NEED to be high level or do raids, as you said before you are casual so by the time you're 70 and the expansion is out you'll have all the greens that are better than epic to play with instead of wasting time in huge raids

Not to mention when people want the increase they'll need to wait for the next expansion before they can have it

In any case, even if the level cap wasn't increased, there would still be a lot of new gear that would most likely be better than TBC's, so people would be forced to replace it to stay on top anyway.

I like the expansion features except for the cap also.
It takes me ages to level and I'm not even 70 yet. I'll probably only just make it to 70 by the time that it comes out and then it will be more levelling again.

Personally dont care about the lvl cap now, i love levelling, best thing about the game, people only go on the forums to whine about stuff if they dont like it then pfft why play.

I'm not really for or against the new expansion, I don't even have TBC yet (no point since I'm still a noob).
One thing though, I've seen a few people say this "It's going to be too much like runescape" ...HOW? Runescape is a different game all together. WoW is based more around questing/leveling, runescape, unless you're a complete noob, is more based around skilling AND combat...
