Default What a birthday present :|

My best mate sent me a present right? It was a HMV gift voucher which I would use in store of course.
But the day of my birthday , we have a postal strike and nothing comes. I wait a week and still nothing. Today we get a phone call from Sam's dad saying im glad Richards spent his voucher , what did he get?
I haven't been into town for a week so someone has gone through aload of post to nick my birthday present

    Rant over :[

You should explain to them that when it was sent, the postal service went on strike and you never received it to spend it, and if they know about the strike and stuff like that, they might give you one in return?

Complain the the postal company for a refund? It is not HMV's fault because once its in the mail its the postal company's responsibility.

That sort of happned to us once. My mum sent a ring to this ring cleaning place and it was meant to be mailed back to us.. It didn't show up, so we rang the store and they said they'd sent it. Then a month later it turned up on ebay.. SO we caled the police and it turned out a postman had been going through everyone's post xo. He got fired ofc.
