Yes, it may have been announced ages ago, but lots of the details were made official on MTV on Thursday in America, and on Friday here in blighty.

I really want one for Christmas, I just hope that we won't have to fork out stupid prices for the thing. The Americans are predicted to have to pay around $299 (just £160) for it; but as usual we'll probably have it launched at £300. Lucky us.

Lots of people have complained about the way it looks (like a giant iPod ), saying it's too plain. If Sony had announced something like this for the PS3, I bet you people would be falling over themselves to say how ingenious the design is. The face plate of it can be customised though - so that's good.

Anyway, E3 is on next week, so we'll get a look at the PS3 and Nintendo Revolution - then we can see what the competition's like
