erm, i got taken to some red circly thing, and when i returned my mage was lvl 9 :S

its going up slowly, but anyway to get it back to my full lvl thanks

You were teleporting and you ent to this small red circle thing yh?
If you don't pick the odd 'pole' out, your magic lvl will decrease
as many times you get it wrong..
Will go up in time
or Drink magic/restore pots.

use mage pots?
