Good tip: add a clickable link.
I like alot of people am lazy, and personally more than half the time i wont even bother viewing a site if they dont provided a link i can just click.
That aside scrolling banners just screams noobish unprofessionlism and just looks plain ugly.
Secondly, is the site just a forum or is there a website in there as well? (offline maybe)
