Default India Vs England - ODI 2 at Bristol

Shame on the umpires. Giving Tendulkar out on 99.

31.3 Flintoff to Tendulkar, OUT, Would you believe it? Tendulkar has gone for 99. Done in by a screamer of a bouncer. It kicked up from short of length and reared shoulder high. Tendulkar tried to fend it away, got his hands in front of his face and the ball seemed to have gone off his arm guard -- though no conclusive evidence was available from television replays --- down the leg side for Prior to take it. They let out a huge appeal and the fatal finger goes up. Tendulkar looks bemused. A wry grin, a shake of head and he walks back. Did it brush the gloves? The replays don't confirm or deny that.
If he wasn't out, he would got his hundered and gone on to smack a few more sixes and fours - and maybe India could have got 350?

Ah well, India played well. Now its upto the Indian bowlers.

If the umpire thinks he was out at the time, then that was the correct decision whether right or wrong - if that makes sense.

Er not really. Tendulkar was given out on 92 in the Test and it was clearly not out.

But, the umpire made the decision that he was out, so that decision stands - the umpire's decision is final.

You do realise how hard it is, umpiring a cricket match?

No because the umpire could be wrong and they have been a lot recently. Their decision stands but that doesnt mean they were correct.

Umpring a cricket game is very hard, but in the last few Indian matches, the worlds top umpire(s) have been making stupid decisions.

we also had one on 49 if i remember correctly

Dimitri Mascarenhas fired five sixes in 52 off 39 balls.. that was awesome really - before he had played 5 games for england and had a max of 5 runs - 3.33 average.
