    Default Paranoia...

It's really weird, lately I've been very anxious and I keep thinking that someone is following.

I was walking to my friends house before school, like I always do, and I could have sworn someone was behind me. And I turn around, and no one is there. The road that my friend lives down is about half a mile long, I guess, and I turned to check at least six or seven times. I got really upset when I got to her house, and we were late for school because I was crapping myself to go outside.
Then when I walked home, my friends went off down a road where they all live, and I have another mile or so to walk on my own. And once again, I swear someone was following me again. I could hear footsteps, and each time I turn around no one is there. And I can also sense that someone is there, or at the corner of my eyes see a figure.

It's suddenly started happening this week, and I've gotten seriously scared about it. I havn't bothered talking about it to anyone really. I'm just always cautious that someone is behind me, and each time I think there is someone there I suddenly start to feel really sick then when I turn around no one is there. It's just seriously creepy! I don't know why, I have nothing to feel guilty about or for someone to be following me...

if it keeps on happening, go to your doctors, tell him/her about whats happening and he/she will either give you medicine or refer you to a specialist.

edit; you dont want medicine though. you dont want to rely on anything like that.

well if it keeps on happening, you have to do what you have to do. and if it means going to a specialist, then so be it. would you rather do that or carry on feeling the way you do?

Yeah, I guess so. I think I'm going to leave it for a week or two, and hope that it calms down.

It can feel like that when it is really quiet arond, but its probably just your imagination running wild. If it keeps hapening and you know there definately can't be anyone following you then see a doctor. It could just be stress/tiredness maybe?

Its probably a symptom of Agoraphobia. Nothing you can really do just be brave and keep thinking to yourself no one is there, try walking with a friend as much as possible.
