it doesn't really seem that long since the TAM airlines crash a couple of months ago, and yet another serious crash happens.

I wasn't referring to the TAM airlines crash as if it had happened yesterday, I was talking about the crash that happened in July/June.

and they say its the safest way to travel.. I mean I know theres less things to crash into because you're in the air but I feel safer in a car than a plane
I’ll be a story in your head, but that’s okay, because we’re all stories in the end. Just make it a good one, eh? Because it was, you know. It was the best. A daft old man who stole a magic box and ran away. Did I ever tell you that I stole it? Well, I borrowed it. I always meant to take it back. Oh, that box, Amy, you’ll dream about that box. It’ll never leave you. Big and little at the same time. Brand-new and ancient and the bluest blue ever. And the times we had, eh? Would had…Never had. In your dreams, they’ll still be there. The Doctor and Amy Pond and the days that never came.

it's a hellll of a lot safer than driving.

I must admit though, despite the stats that I know, I also feel safer in a car, perhaps it's the fact that you have more control over what happens, and if you do crash, you have more of a chance of getting out alive.

the main reason why people saying planes are safer is because theres more cars than there are planes!?

and its more likely a car will crash on a road e.g. into another car or a building than a plane will crash into anything at all.
