    Default Agony Aunt Page?

    Hi there.

I think that what is missing from habbox, is an AGONY AUNT (or in this case uncle :p ) page!

This would allow Habbo's to send in their real life problems via email or on the forum, which I could then give advice too and publish the most general ones on the homepage, with like a minimuim of 3 per day?

I used to run a website with a similair service and enjoyed it greatly, I never make hasty decisions and feel this would be a great new service provided by Habbox which I guarentee, I could do well..

Please let me know what you think about this idea and mayb we can discuss it more in depth..

    Thanks alot.. :

This has been suggested before but the problem with it is: If we give advice for real life problems and we get it wrong, and it caused the person to do something bad, imagine how bad we would feel?

The only thing we can do really is re-direct them to official websites, who have trained professionals to deal with others' problems

Yes, I understand that is a major problem, but therefore if a major problem did occur, for instance someone self harming, I would refer them to a website and places where they can get free information such as pamflets and phone numbers to talk on a one-to-one basis with someone in privacy about it. I would never give direct advice about something of such a serious matter. But for problems like love life etc. I would just give the best opinion of what I feel on the information gave to me.

As Seacat said, it has been suggested before and yes, we may even make it worse.
You also got to know that most of us are 11-16 year (using the age of habbo) and I don't think we have enough knowledge to help somebody. The people who do have to knowledge probably don't have enough time to really help the person. It depends how big the problem is but for most problems you better go to a professional with alot of time to help the person.

i wouldnt mind helping on something like that
i would have the time and i am quite knoledgeable for my age (mainly coz im abit of an agony auint to my mates already lol)
but then again seacat brings up a relevant point, its hard to deal with cirtain problems, and you also have to remember that there would have to be some form of confidentuality since real names and such couldnt be used.

    but its a good idea.

Why not a compromise in between, and create a page with all the helpline numbers such as childline, bereavement lines etc so that people can find these things available on the forum.
