    ... make a web host site.

    recently i've been wanting to run a web hosting site but currently there are some things which I am not sure about but first I'll tell you what I have already!

    Apache
    php 4/5
    mysql
    phpmyadmin
    python
    tomcat
    perl
    ftp
    (it's a windows server)

    What else would I need to run a web host,
    ie billing system, online file editing

    ps i want to run a dn server as well

    Don't use Apache on windows If you want a Windows Server, 1and1.co.uk are good because they will provide you with the Plesk Windows Hosting CP. WHMCS is good, im nor sure if it supports Plesk though.

    does it help if I say that I could run a linux OS if it made it easier?
    it's just i get a new laptop soon and the OS on the one i current use wont really matter.

    I can personally recommend Plesk if you want Windows Hosting, its the control panel I use on my server.

    Don't use a PC or a Laptop at your house to sell hosting Get one in a Datacenter
