Default In The Name Of The Father Help (+45 rep)

Has anyone seen this film, if you have could you please help answer these questions?

Discuss how the relationship between Gerry and his father is almost a mirror reflection or Ireland and England. Is this a true reflection?

    and

Do you feel this is a good decpition of the time of both England and Ireland? Explain your answer.

If you haven't seen the film, perhaps you could help me out anyway. I need to know what happened between Ireland and England in the 70's, and about the Guildford pub bombings, since I am totally helpless when it comes to history.

I will rep everyone who give decent and helpful answers!

I think this page of Wikipedia might help out abit on the IRA stuff. Learned somethings myself whilst browsing it. Turns out the IRA is a very old organisations which has split many many times into different branches. That link has more about the 1970's - 1990's I think, Hope it's some sort of help to you. Just too bad I haven't seen the film .

I think you forgot to include the link!

I recommend you see the film. In my opinion, it is one of the best films ever made. I would have written notes on it to answer the questions whilst watching it, but it was just too amazing I had to see how things turned out and stuff.
