Dont know if this is new or what, just got an email from game with it

I read in "The sun newspaper" yesterday that Playstation are cutting the prices of ps3's and packages.

Sony has cut the cost of its PS3 by £125 just six months after launch.
A new slim ps3 will cost £299 after fans complained about the prices on websites. But it has LESS memory than the £425 launch mode, CANNOT play PS2 games and doesn't come with two games or an extra controller.
The cost for the original pack has also been cut to £349 - but comes with only ONE controller.
