Theres only certain ones you can have, if you make your own on msn (blah@ilikedosg&cats.com) you won't be able to change your msn name, or read emails

You own the domain, or get in contact with the domain owner, you create the email address normally in a webcontrol panel such as cpanel or plesk assigning a mailbox to it then if you want to use it with MSN you create a net passport for it at passport.com

    the way I did it.

Set up a website (domain +hosting)

    Use inhost webmail

Then when creating MSN account used the my own email account

and set online email to outlook so I could view mail without logging into the webhosting account.
