You Took Number Two's Bait
Please note, this is my first ever thing to do with the genre of 'Romance', if this is commented on been good, I may follow it up.
So I standed at that bar
For a full hour
You didn't bother showing up
You just ignored your phone
I thought this was it
I thought you were the one
But after I finally caught you
You found number two
I spent days thinking
Depression engulfed my mind
There was nothing but dark
All because of that number two
We had spent a year together
But it was wasted on him
I want my moments back
I want to be number two
I talked to you at the bar -
Last year, you said
''Hey, look... I'm sorry.''
Just before he arrived
Then the floods of alcohol
poured into emotion and anger
I hurt number two
But I killed you
Now I spend my days in my mind
Trapped in this cage of life
How this man stole you
I will never know
All I know is he stole my life
And you took his bait
He hit the big time
And I hit the wall
Can you also comment on whether I'm more suited to poetry or stories?
