it depends. mine hurt cuz it was a huge tooth, the dentist was pushing on my head and pullign on the plyers.

but its worth it to have straight teeth, trust me.

Cheers guys, I think I am gonna have it done, but my mum wants to speak to my actual dentist to find out why 2 perfectly healthy teeth have to be removed, because this other orthadentist said nothing about it, nor did my actual dentist.

In it for the money they are.

Omg. You've got it easy mate! Grr. Y'see im currently awaiting for an appointment from the hospital because I have to be put to sleep when Im getting my treatment done, 'cause everytime I go I have panic attacks, and last time I was injected I fainted. LOL. So I have to be sent to the hospital. Anyway, I gotta have 3 teeth extracted, 2 from the bottom back, 1 on the top. 7 fillings are needed, and I might need Root treatment or something. + then on top of all that, once thats done I gotta get braces. You're scared? Im scared! But like someone already said, its better to have straight teeth. Thats the thing thats keeping me going. :]

All I can say is, good luck, and dont worry too much yeah.

Btw, has anyone else heard that you know that injection you normally have to numb your gums etc. The stuff injected is cocaine? Thats the reason why they ask you've taken any medication in the last 24 hours, 'cause you can go all wierd. !

I couldn't say myself because I haven't had teeth out, I've had injections in my mouth before though and I personally thought they hurt a fair bit but at the end of the day the treatment you're going to be getting is going to be worth it in the long run.

My mate had his wisdom teeth out, he went to hospital for it. He got lots of pain medication because its very painful afterwards, during the operation though they would be numb.
And its not the point of having perfectly health teeth removed its to do with them growing awkardly and moving around the other teeh in your jaw.
During the operation you won't have anything to worry about, you'll probably be under a local.
