EU - How much it costs us.

I read a website and this is what it says how much the EU costs the UK, it's quite staggering to be honest.

• By 2007 Britain will have made contributions to the EC budget of almost

• £213.6 billion gross or £66.3 billion net.

• By 2013 Britain will have made direct contributions to the EC budget
in the region of £299.8 billion gross or £102.2 billion net.

• By 2006 Britain had an accumulated trade deficit with EU member
states of £359.5 billion.

• The Common Agricultural Policy costs Britain at least £15.6 billion
per annum.

• The Common Fisheries Policy costs Britain at least £2.5 billion
per annum.

• Over-regulation costs Britain at least £26 billion per annum.

• Membership of the European Union costs Britain £60.1 billion per annum gross or £50.6 billion net.

Just think of what we could do with all that money.

I agree, EU hates us yet they are so willing to accept our money.

Fair enough, we do have a lot more money than nearly all the other EU members. But I don't think the UK is a perfect country yet, when the UK has a decent army, NHS, education system and other things, then it should start contributing to a charity called the 'European Union'. But as we're not perfect, why are we trying to perfect other countries?

If these figures worry you, then you should see the German one's, they're even worse

We're not going to get anything out of donating to all these other countries, it's hardly a good investment. The UK should be putting the money else where, the UK desperately needs a decent education system otherwise in 10-20 years time, we'll have no jobs left and no skilled workers, and that's when things go down hill. Global Warming needs to be tackled a lot more too.

We don't even get much out the EU, we joined the EU or the common market at the time to trade with countries such as France and Germany and a few others, not to become a 'state' of one vast country and donate to a charity. Leave the majority of the EU, just stay in the trading bit

Btw I call the EU a charity, as your just donating to poorer people and getting nothing back. It works preciesely like one

Yeah never mind the British people, let their hospitals, schools and nursing homes fall to pieces, doesn't matter does it because your not there :rolleyes:

We don't have more money than we need, and even if we did why the hell should we give it away? The only reason you like the EU is because your island or whatever couldn't survive on it's own, thus you have to sponge off us.
