    Saw one of these for French and German, so because Spanish is now becoming commonly known as a taught language, I though I would do the basics

    Useful phrases -

    Hola - Hello
    Adiós - Goodbye
    Sí - Yes
    N - No
    Buenas noches - Good Evening
    Bienvenido - Welcome
    Por favor - Please
    Gracias - Thank you
    Lo siento - I am sorry
    Perdóneme - Excuse me
    Feliz cumpleaños - Happy Birthday
    Buenas tardes - good afternoon
    Hasta luego - see you tomorrow


    ¿Cómo estás? - How are you?
    ¿Estás bien? - Are you OK?
    Estoy OK - I am OK
    Estoy bien - I am good
    No estoy OK - I am not OK

    Numbers -

    1 - un
    2 - dos
    3 - tres
    4 - cuatro
    5 - cinco
    6 - seis
    7 - siete
    8 - ocho
    9 - nueve
    10 - diez
    11 - once
    12 - doce
    13 - trece
    14 - catorce
    15 - quince
    16 - dieciseis
    17 - diecisiete
    18 - dieciocho
    19 - diecinueve
    20 - veinte

    Colours -
    Red - rojo
    Orange - naranja
    Yellow - amarillo
    Green - verde
    Blue - azul
    Purple - violeta (i think)
    Pink - rosa
    Black - negro
    White - blanco
    Brown - marrón

    More numbers:
    11 - once
    12 - doce
    13 - trece
    14 - catorce
    15 - quince
    16 - dieciseis
    17 - diecisiete
    18 - dieciocho
    19 - diecinueve
    20 - veinte

    Some colours - you never know when you need colours!
    Red - rojo
    Orange - naranja
    Yellow - amarillo
    Green - verde
    Blue - azul
    Purple - violeta (i think)
    Pink - rosa
    Black - negro
    White - blanco
    Brown - marrón

    Happy birthday is cumpleaños feliz, because the adjective comes after the noun.

    Isnt adjective before noun when you are describing something?

    I don't know the actual rule, but for three years i have been sayin Feliz Cumpleanos. nd so have all the spanish at my school

    i'm pretty sure the adjective comes AFTER the noun..

    you should also add the 10's of numbers... going up to 100

    20 - veinte
    30 - treinta
    40 - cuaranta
    50 - cincuenta
    60 - sesenta
    70 - setenta
    80 - ochenta
    90 - noventa
    100 - cien


    they always come in handy because you can work out every no. between 1-100 with them.
