    Default Swearing

Someone was swearing at me and cussing me alot and so I reported him to call for help and they just said twice to use "shut up" button. I don't get this now because do they just mean it doesnt matter if we swear ? I am sure I saw somewhere on rules your not meant to and now you should just use shut up ? Thats just stupid so everyone who plays can freely swear - many other games have severe consenquences for swearing and I think its stupid to not have it in Habbo Hotel.

It's probably because there is more serious matters to deal with at that time, when you could solve that one by pressing shut up.

Swearing is now allowed for over 13's, as you can turn the Bobba filter off via your "edit look" thingy. I think it's under change your motto. Anyway, MOD's dont ban for swearing as ppl always avoided the filter anyway. Using "Shut up" if you dont like the lanugage is much fairer than banning them because one person doesnt like it. However, if they are being extreme, and being abusive and racist etc then a MOD may intervene.

It's not against the habbo way to swear anymore, but it is to swear at people.
