Runecrafting/Slayer

I have 28 runecrafting, whats the best way to train it as I wanna get 50.

And, my slayer is currently 28 and I have to kill trolls but when I go to death plateau, they practially kill me before I even get to kill any of them. Any ideas on how to do that task without losing most of my life before I get up there to kill them?

Do the quests:

Death plateau
Troll stronghold

Use the secret route up to the troll stronghold, then you can fight them 1v1
