    but ive got an AOL with a BT DSL/cable modem.

    my friends got the same and he did it with no problems

    but i cannot get my ip for ****

    help pls. ive been through all of xbox.com

    I had the same problem with the router they give you, but now i have wireless internet mine works, so basicly get another router :]

    I have a netgear one, i think most of there range are compatible with aol and xbox live :]

    I *'d them out because that's mine

    But I've set up various friends xbox's and it's like that dynamic ip.

    First on your computer Click Start, then click Run, when it opens type cmd when the black box opens type ipconfig it will give all your details you need:- ip address, gateways etc. Write it all down, go on your xbox 360 and go to Network Settings then click edit settings, click on the first box and click Manual. Then type all the information you wrote down into the correct parts. and it should work.

    Well i recommend you get a router.
