Try and have a more "original" style layout.

Its hard to keep up to date with layouts. Since habbo released its new morden layout all the fansites have been releasing layouts like my current one. And even if you did made a total original layout someone would copy it and take the credit for it. Its not worth time creating a new original layout if someone will just copy it.
