Like properclone's thread, but with an album instead of a song.
I recommend you get this:
There is not one bad song on the whole album.

'kala'
2007
this album is so amazing that even the two weaker tracks ('world town' and 'mango pickle down river') are good. there are too many standout tracks to choose from, each song in its own way is a gem. maya is truly an innovative artist that manages to produce songs that will be in your head for the next month yet she is extremely thought provoking at the same time. through her pounding electronic beats m.i.a. lets her heart out on this album. 'paper planes' gave me chills the first time i heard it and it still does. you'll probably think 'what the **** am i listening to?!' upon first listen but give it a chance, it grows on you like some flesh eating virus. if you like electronic music, hip-hop or grime then you must hear this album, i think it may just be my favourite all year. check out maya's first album, 'arular' too.
mp3s
