    Default give - rep for rule breaking

    simple
    just add -10 rep for a warning and
    - 25 rep for an infraction

    Hmm...
    I think not. Many people break rules accidentally, or rules they wouldn't have imagined were rules. I don't think your punishment should have anything to do with your reputation.

    from the FAQ's

    Red Rep
    When you do something bad you will most likely receive Red rep which is classed as bad. This will also cause your reputation count / points to decrease. You may be bad (Red) repped for the following reasons: -
    -Pointless Posting
    -Double posting
    -Being rude
    -Breaking the forum rules

    this would make users think over there post since alot care about rep

    A better idea would be to caution them so the rep feature is disabled on their account, that's better than removing rep because they cannot issue anyone with any rep "/
