Connect to xbox live with a virgin router?

i got mine today too. If your using the wireless network adapter for the 360, its a doddle. Just go to "Join Xbox Live" and follow the instructions. It will detect that you are not connected to a network and ask you to create a conection. Select your network and let it do its checks (normaly takes 2 min ish) After that, sign up to XBL with e-mails, names and stuff (USB keyboard advised). Test conection. Stick Halo 3 in (example), Go to matchmaking, set it to XBL, start match making!

Very vauge guide, but thats the steps it took me through.

You might aswell get the adaptor, unless your router is in distance so u can use the Ethernet.

my router is at the back of the house by the back window, and my 360 is by the front of the housre at the front window, thats streaching diagonal across the house and i have 5/5 for signal

If its wired its a MASSIVE Farce. Emphasis on the word MASSIVE.
When I want to go on Xbox Live after being on the computer (internet) I have to Switch Everything off at the wall and then switch the ethernet cable around the other way. Then it works. I hate Virgin.

Who-ever said the wireless adapter thing is a doddle well it wasnt for mine,
i had to get my techie mate to come round and sort it out he had to open gateways etc etc

it took 2 hours to work =]

Its called a Cable Modem. So you didnt get an ethernet cable? Did you get the Core/Arcade?
