    Default [Urgent] Can you host..

A Counter Strike Dedicated Server and play counter strike on the same computer?

If not would SRDS (Source Dedicated Server) run on 3.1GHz (Pentium 4 Hyper threading) with 512MB of RAM?

Nothing else would be on it /running..

I believe that its possible to host a dedicated server and play counter strike, however it would probably require at least a dual core cpu. Not sure about it running on a 3.1ghz

I read that you have to put your server on a different port than the default because it uses the same port you use to play which causes lag or not being able to connect :S

Also it depends on your internet connection and ram on how many people you can have max in your server without making it laggy

just look for tutorials on making a dedicated server and you'll find a graph showing how many players you can have
