They're not bad actually, I don't know why you've posted enlarged doubles... you shouldn't go too heavy on the shading.

yeah, many people do it so people can see pixel errors and things in more detail

Yeah shading is overboard, and in some cases it is pillow shaded with no real light source.
The arms in the last one need a lot of work and thickening up but if you got rid of some of that excess shading they'd probably look a lot better.---
