    Default [+REP] BT Phone help...

Right, our phone number is permanently withheld but i'm trying to phone someone and they don't accept calls from someone with a withheld phone number...

So does anyone know the code you put infront of a persons phone number in order to get through to them?

141 is the code to withhold so maybe if you put 141 when your on withheld it may work.

If not you may have to ring them as iv never tried to show my number on my house phone when i was on BT.

Might a reverse number do it? It puts you through to a recorder and you then type in the persons phone number and say your name and it dials through. Type in 0800 then reverse so it would be 0800 7383773 then it puts you through to it and it will say type the person you wish to calls number and do so and it should put you through. It reverses the charge but it might work. Hope it works for you.

EDIT - I found this for you also if it may help.

    • 141 - dial before a telephone number to withhold your number (if it's not automatically withheld by arrangement with your phone network or through mobile phone setup) from the person receiving the call
    • 1470 - dial before a phone number to send your number to the person you're calling (if they have caller ID on their phone), even if your number is usually automatically withheld
    • 1471 - dial to check the number of the last person who called that phone (free in the UK for BT fixed lines). Alternative: *27# (undocumented but works for me - from the uk-telecom FAQ)
    • 14713 - dial to return the call of the last person who called your phone (for a fee). Alternative: *28#
