xbox live help

i dunno if this is the same as you guys, coz you was going on about how it goes down when you're on a game.. but my xbox live won't even connect?

i turn my xbox on, wire it up to my router, and it doesn't work. i do the diagnostic test and it says about the ip?
i dunno what else to do? it's all plugged in fine and everything.

is this actually because xbl is having troubles? or is it a different problem.

I'm not sure what the problem is but heres just a few things to check
make sure you have paid for this month
make sure all the cords are in all the way, ethernet too if you hooked it up wired
