    Do you HAVE to use a Xbox wireless card thing?
    can i not use my own actiontec usb one?

    Yep, you have to use the official Wireless Connectivity kit. The others aren't compatible that I know of. Prove me wrong if you want to, it'd benefit everyone. Out of my knowledge though, nope. They only cost a bit off Ebay tbh.
