    Right well, for now my users enter a string of numbers into a text box.
    But I'm not too happy with my method.

    Anyone know any better ways of doing this?

    If you don't want to use recaptcha considering using MD5 hashes and/or storing it in a session variable.

    All you've done is base 64 encode it, that's silly.
