The reason why I know this:
1) Room name and owner are displayed closer together than they were in 2001 - mid 2002.
2) One of the avatars has a purple bunny hood, it was possible to wear all sorts of nice colours of clothes in 2002 including many colours of hair styles, business suits etc.
3) HC arrived in November 2002, this is clearly before the era of HC due to the hair styles and colours.
