Today I went to the local VW dealer because our 2 2006 company Jettas are close to the 100k mark. I talked to the salesman that I always talk to and I told him what I was looking for.. 2008 Jetta TDI (Turbo diesel), one 5-speed manual and one automatic. Then he told me that Volkswagen stopped making the TDI models all together!

I don't understand why a car company would stop making one of it's top selling sedans?

nope they havnt died just yet in the UK they are still selling 07 reg jettas at the showrooms

No, they still make jettas. Seen them in Top Gear magazine not that long ago.
