I never did understand this thing..

What's the best way to do it?

I've been told just loot everything on the levels I can get too until time runs out I've also been told to quickly head for the highest room I can get too then loot everything there and repeat.

head for the room below your level, theive urns till about half time left, then theive your room everything but sarcophagus. enjoy the xp.
