    Need help on a question for my coursework.
    How would people at the time of Mary Shelley have reacted to the story?

    I've got one main point, Religion and how people thought only god could create life and the church was stunned etc etc but I need one more point, any help?

    Women would have been shocked at the time.
    A man able to create new life meant that there would be no longer a need for women?
    The whole idea of science taking over nature.
