My dad is trying to add a payment with his maestro card can he do it and how?

Just log onto xbox.com go to "My Xbox" > "Manage profile" > "Add Subcription"

Unless you mean for microsoft points

Then

"My Xbox" > "Add Microsoft Points"

Maestro cards don't work on Xbox Live unfortunately. I've tried before, called microsoft up and they said it isn't possible. Bit silly really.
