    Default Some, advice, tips etc?

Well, I'm not exactly a very good designer in my opinion,

I need some ideas, tips etc to get myself going, and actually start designing,
properly, and actually getting a good template.

    Perserverance is the primary objective.
Probably the best piece of design wise advice I've ever had.

And a quote from David Airey (DavidAirey.co.uk)
"The designers three most important tools. A nutritious breakfast, a sketchpad (pencil included) and your brain."

Sorry to get like this haha.
Designing away from the computer works for me personally.

    Design briefs!
More professional, but it helps to know the target audience and the feel the site is to give.
