Yes, well my card is a debit and I used that through my console to buy Live.

You can definitely credit card, go to Markerplace on your Xbox dashboard, then 'Account management' and 'Memberships', then 'Add a credit card' then just take out a subscription. It costs a few more quid doing it through Xbox but it's instant so I prefer it.
It doesn't say anything about debit cards though, so dunno sorry

It depends. If the card is a Visa Electron, then yes. If it's a Maestro, then no, sorry.
