Default Xbox 360 - Red Rings Of Death

Ok guys, I'm going to purchase an Xbox 360 Elite very soon and don't particularly want to send it back or it go kapput as soon as I get it, so, what causes the red rings of death or w.e and some general care tips for it?

    Thanks!

I think the Elite can't get it , it has a certain chip in it.

But anyway , don't let it get TOO hot , i've had mine upright for ages and its never bust

The "Red Rings of Death" is caused by hardware failure primarily due to overheating.

yeh theres VERY few cases of the red ring of death on the elite. but the ones that have had problems is just the power supply (the little box) or the plug itself.
