    Default multiple website login?

Is there one? Where you create an account on one website, and if it has support on one website, then you can use that for that website if that makes sense.

so say you made an account on a website called userslogin.com, another website could use that database and features. So in effect, if lot of websites decided to use it, you would only need one login and password for 10 sites instead of a 10 usernames and passwords.

If there isnt one, just thought it would be a good project for someone.

so you wouldnt be able to be logged on two websites that use the feature? Are you sure their isnt a way around this as you can have two windows up logged into the same website, so it would be the same.

i mean tbh, i dont know php, so i dont really know what basic sessions are at the moment so correct me if i am wrong

It's possible if you use cookies. Sessions are s/s so unless it was like

globalsite.com/site1 globalsite.com/site2 which could work very easily.. it might make it a bit hard, but you could have a global identity, like google you can have an adwords a gmail an adsense etc.

ah no, i meant websites could use the database so if they decided to register on hxf, the details would be stored on one main database which could then be accessed by another forum so you wouldnt need loads of accounts.

so it would be something like this

It's possible to store same login information, but not login on one site and be logged in throughout, if its going to be secure that is.

Ah right, thanks reconix +rep. So it is possible but they would have to log in every time they wanted to use the website. Would anyone like to help with this? because it could work. it would save time hvaing to register on multiple websites and would attract much mroe visitors to website due to that fact.

Using cPanel, you can actually make your own thingy instead of using localhost, so that can be used over loads of sites. Unsecure if someone finds the database and password.

Thats what I was talking about, but still, you couldn't like login on x.com and be logged in on y.com automatically, it'd have to be manual, and it could cause alot of headaches.

Yes you could, you could link an IP to a database when they login, set their status to logged in, and then just check it on a sister site.
