Habbox FLASH Channel
NOTE: THIS GUIDE HAS BEEN SEPERATED UP. THE IMAGES DO NOT REPRESENT THE FULL PRODUCT, AS THEY HAVE BEEN SLICED DOWN FOR EASY VIEWING.
Habbox has a new FLASH channel located here. Firstly, the FLASH channel may not be here to stay, but for those brief moments here is a guide of what you can do in this FLASH channel. Firstly, this is not an IRC channel so browser-based IRC clients like Mibbit & Meebo will not work with this. Now, I've seen many people thinking, "How I use this?" so here's a guide on how to:
1. The text interface:
This is where you see messages from other members, and where you type messages from yourself. They are all displayed in this window:
As you can see, each button is noted down and every feature which will be handy to is displayed here. You've probably come to terms with these buttons already, but it's good to know you have them. On an additional note, the SEND button sends the messages, however the ENTER button lets you include another line (like a <br> tag in HTML).
2. Private messaging system
This will come in most handy if there's someone you wish to talk to, but you don't want anyone to know that you're talking to them about it. Whether it be for business reasons, or you just want to backstab someone, this is how you do it:
Simple, don't you think? Further on in the tutorial, this will be mentioned again.
3. The Users
This is to the right of you on the chat nav, and quite obvious too so don't be lost by it. All the descriptions are within the image, hidden by the spoilers due to its largeness. This also goes into a bit of detail on what is visible to others, and what is not:
It's getting simple, I know. Remember, this is for people who don't know every little bit about it. If you know this part, you can move onto the end where the customisation starts. Thats where the fun part comes in!
4. Maintenace Operations
These are the operations in the top-right corner of your screen, in which you can change things & view older messages. This comes in handy, and you will use this alot. Look below in the spoiler tag:
Now, not so hard is it? It's not hard at all...
5. Customization
You may have noticed in the above screenshot, the absence of an explanation on what the Option button does. This is where the customization comes in! This gives you a bit of control on the look and feel of the flashchat. It also gives you the control to disable certain sounds, so no more annoying blips! What we can do in the options button is:That's all there is to it really! It's not much, but it'll give you more flexibility over what you're doing & could help others out.
- Display a timestamp for messages, along with horizontal alignment (name and message on the same line, handy at most)
- Disable sounds seperately. This includes: Typing, Soundclips, message alerts & when someone enters/exits the room.
- Cache your username and password. Might be a bit fiddly.
- Give you the option of storing/clearing/viewing your chat history, along with the option of storing more than the default memory of chats.
Not hard at all... is it. Trust me, you can have a good-looking display if you do it properly, whether youre a 'n00b' or not! The chat system is open to all members, but bronze members.
Cheers![]()

Just for you bbs. Should help if we keep it... which it looks set, lol. If they need donations, I'll chip in a bit. I enjoyed tonight more than I shoulda haha.
It's fun once you get used to it... but to get proper grips with it, the guide helps.
