    Default Laptop CD Drive help

    well, the cd drive fell out of my laptop..and I put it back it and the light comes up on it and I can hear the disc spinning around but it doesn't come up on my laptop

    ideas?

    bring it out, blow on the connectors to get rid of dust put it back in, restart the laptop.

    that happend to my moms at the airport, she just put it back in and evrything was fine.

    right click My Computer > Properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager, is the CD Drive listed in there?

    no, thats your hard drive. But I can tell its not seeing your drive because it hasnt got a CD Category... Hmmm...

    I did scan for hardware..
    got Modem device on High definition audio bus

    would that have anything to do with it..:s
