Kubica is on course for his first win as an f1 driver. Hamilton earlier in Q3 posted the fastest lap of the top ten shootout by posting a 1:33.292. But Ferrari were always a threat, and with Massa looking very strong and looking to take a pole again at Bahrain. He did just that. But that was also short lived, as the pole Robert Kubica pinched pole with an astonishing lap time of 1:33.096.
A well deserved maiden pole for Kubica, Bmw are showing some real pace, new year will be challenging for the constructor's championship. Hamilton in Q1 and Q2 looked off the pace with his fasted lap in Q2 being a 1:31.922.
Hamilton looking good for a dent podium finish. But its going to be difficult to hold back the raining world champion Kimi Räikkönen and the uner achiver and the much critized Felipe Massa.
