Referal as in where they came from? If this is what your talking about. I wouldn't because they can be very long adress'

I think he means where you invite a friend using a referral code/url.

For this, you will need PHP, its not as simple as a little HTML script...

EDIT: I see you go to my forums. [Who are you there?] I'm guessing... that you want a script like th e one on my site. Well, that referral was used to integrate into IPB and there isn't a standalone script. In simple words: It will not work on a website unless you modify it.
